What's also notable is that the RAM 1500 comes standard with four-wheel drive while the Ford F-150 only comes with rear-wheel drive.
vs Chevy Silverado 1500
While it is a close fight, the RAM 1500 comes out on top of the Chevy Silverado 1500. Once again, the RAM 1500 has it where it counts under the hood. The RAM 1500 features more horsepower from its 3.6-liter V6, which is odd since the Chevy Silverado 1500 features a larger 4.3-liter V6. The power outputs are 305 horsepower, in favor of the RAM 1500 compared to 285 horsepower for the Chevy Silverado 1500. On top of its higher power output, the RAM 1500 is more fuel-efficient than the Chevy Silverado 1500. With the RAM 1500, you'll have 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway compared to the Silverado's 16 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway.
vs GMC Sierra 1500
The GMC Sierra 1500 is a capable truck, but when push comes to shove, the RAM 1500 still comes out on top. Once again, the RAM 1500 offers more in the way of power with its 3.6-liter V6 that gets 305 horsepower compared to the GMC Sierra's 4.3-liter V6 that gets 285 horsepower. Fuel efficiency also falls in favor of the RAM 1500, and it's actually the largest disparity between it and its competition. The GMC Sierra 1500 falls short at 15 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway. In addition, keyless ignition and vinyl upholstery are standard on the RAM 1500 while the GMC Sierra 1500 features a cloth upholstery and can only have keyless ignition installed as an expensive add-on.
