There are two plug-in hybrid options that you can pick from the Jeep 4xe lineup. These two vehicles use gas engines that are paired with an electric motor to help the overall efficiency of the vehicle. These SUVs are able to use the electric motor to power them in a limited range before needing to be recharged by a charger, or over time with regenerative braking. Jeep is bringing two different electric options to dealerships beginning in 2024. These fully electric options will be unique and stand out for using no fossil fuels, while still providing the rugged on and off-road capability we expect to find from Jeep options.
The first is the Jeep Recon. This is an EV based on the Wrangler but has unique design options and is available only as a hardtop that allows you to remove door panels and the roof portions for open-air fun. It has fully off-road features and is set to have an impressive range of options onboard from entertainment and safety to easy ways of charging up.
Joining the all-new Jeep Recon EV is the Wagoneer S. This new option aims to provide speed with zero-to-60 miles per hour times of 3.5 seconds and up to 600 horsepower and 400 miles of estimated range. It also has a reimagined roofline. It looks cool and will redefine premium driving for those around Grand Rapids.

For one, you get added fuel economy and the limited driving range on plug-in models that can make your trips between having to refill at the pump longer.
You also can recharge the EV range at home with a Level 1 charger and standard outlet.
With an EV you can forgo using the gas station and get charged up in public stations, at home with a Level 2 charger, which has to be installed by an electrician but has ample benefits.
There are also various tax incentives potentially available to you, while you still find the 4x4 capability that the Jeep brand is known for, plus you get the latest onboard features and attributes from each vehicle as well.
Your charging options are clear. For plug-in hybrids, all you need is a standard outlet in your garage to charge up the electric reserve overnight, usually at around two to five miles of charge per hour.
For fully electric vehicles you are going to want an at-home Level 2 charger that is usually able to get up to 10 miles of charge in an hour making it good for overnight charging or when you're parked at home during the day. There are also DC fast charging stations in public areas in addition to regular charging stations in public. The former is able to go from 10 to 80 percent charged usually in under an hour.
